What we clean
Pulling the register covers and vacuuming what an arm can reach is dusting, not duct cleaning. The dust you can see is the first two feet of a run that might be thirty. A full cleaning covers:
- Supply runs. Every line that blows air into a room, worked from the register opening back to the trunk.
- Return runs. The lines that pull air back to the furnace. These load up the worst, and in older homes they are where we find the webs, the dead bugs, and the odd surprise.
- Both trunk lines. The main ducts everything feeds into. We cut a dedicated access opening into the supply and return trunks, connect the vacuum at the core of the system, and seal the openings properly when we are done.
- Registers and grilles. The covers come off, get cleaned, and go back on straight.
The method is simple to say and slow to do. Every vent opening in the house gets sealed before the vacuum starts. The machine pulls over 5,000 cubic feet of air a minute, which puts the entire system under negative pressure. Then compressed air drives spinning whips through each run, register to trunk. Everything that breaks loose has one direction to travel: into the machine, not into your rooms.

In Papillion
Sarpy County gives us two kinds of duct jobs. In the newer developments, the runs carry what the build left behind: drywall dust, sawdust, chunks of tape, trash swept into open floor vents before the flooring went down. A house can be two years old and look rough inside the tin. It depends on the system, so we do not guess over the phone. The tech walks your house first, counts everything, and gives you the exact total before any work starts. You decide on the spot. If the number does not fit, we part friendly.
Do you clean the whole system or just the vents?
The whole system. Supply runs, return runs, both trunk lines, and the register covers. The trunk lines are where most of the buildup sits, which is why the vacuum connects there and not at a vent opening.
My house is only a few years old. Can the ducts really be dirty?
New construction is a big share of our Papillion work. Ducts sit as open holes in the floor for most of a build, and drywall dust and sawdust settle into the runs before anyone ever moves in. The before photos from two-year-old houses surprise people more than the ones from houses built in the 1970s.
How do I know the work was actually done?
You see it. The tech photographs the job as it goes: inside the trunk lines, down the runs, the registers. You look at the photos together before we pack up, in your house, that day. That is standard on every job, not something you have to ask for.
